Made For Each Other
Camel and 3M Team Up for Meet Army Energy
Camel Expeditionary has collaborated with 3M, through an exclusive supply agreement, to develop a flame-resistant, intense weather fitted, insulated fabric to line the interior walls of military shelters. To maintain ambient temperatures within field facilities when deployed in extreme climates, a significant amount of heating or cooling must be produced, which uses a lot of energy. The Extreme Weather Liner system was designed to reduce this demand and improve ground force troop comfort in extreme weather conditions. This enhanced insulation design offers an R-value of 4.56 which provides an estimated 30 – 40+% reduction in fuel consumption for heating and cooling.

As the standard maintenance shelter for the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps, the Camel LME provides a covered facility for tactical maintenance operations. Flexible end walls are equipped with sliding fabric doors for complete enclosure in blackouts or extreme weather conditions. The LME has been successfully verified by the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center for durability and snow and wind load.
The Camel Soldier Crew Tent is a durable, single-hub tent ideal for the billeting of combat vehicle crews. The lightweight, compact design is easy transport and still provides rugged and dependable protection from harsh weather conditions.
The Modular General Purpose Tent System (MGPTS) utilizes tensioned fabric to create a structure which distributes wind, rain and snow loads from the fabric directly to the support system. Because of this design, the MGPTS distributes loads more efficiently with lighter support systems than conventional GP tents.
